Delta Gamma

Delta Kappa Chapter at University of South Florida

Letter from Recruitment Chair

Dear PNMs,

My name is Ashley Hendricks and I am so incredibly honored to be serving as Delta Gamma’s Vice President of Membership this year! I always knew that I wanted to go through recruitment when I went to college, but I had absolutely no clue just how much my life would change when I walked through the doors of Delta Gamma. I can confidently speak on behalf of my chapter when I say we are all SO excited to meet you!

When I went through Formal Recruitment my freshman year, I was both extremely excited and terribly nervous. I didn’t know anyone at USF, but I hoped that recruitment would lead me to a sisterhood of women who I could eventually call my home away from home. The second I first stepped into Delta Gamma, I felt so comfortable being myself. Each and every woman I talked to was so genuine and intentional, and I left every conversation feeling so full of the love that they poured into me. I could see the love each woman had for not only Delta Gamma, but for each other as well. The love I saw and felt during recruitment has not only remained in my life since joining Delta Gamma, but it has grown stronger than I ever thought was possible.

Delta Gamma has brought me a group of women that push me to become the best version of myself every single day. My sisters are my role models, my shoulders to cry on, my future bridesmaids, and the most incredible people I have ever met. They love and support me unconditionally on my best and worst days. I have had the opportunity to grow in leadership, service, and academics, but above all else I have been able to grow into a confident woman I am so proud to be. I couldn’t have done any of it without Delta Gamma. My hope for you is that you find that chapter that brings out the best in you, too.

There truly is no way to know just how much a sorority will impact your life until you take a leap of faith and go through recruitment. I would choose Delta Gamma again and again and again. You deserve nothing less than a sisterhood that will accept you for exactly who you are and will never cease to inspire you to grow. Primary Recruitment can be stressful at times, but I promise you that it is so incredibly rewarding! Delta Gamma wishes you the best of luck, and we cannot wait to meet you soon!
